What's New
My new novel, A MILLION MILES FROM BOSTON, was released on April 5, 2011. This novel was five years in the making
and went through dozens of revisions. I'm so excited to finally see it in print.
Study guides
If you are interested in taking a closer look at A MILLION MILES FROM BOSTON, feel free to use these two study guides.
The first guide is geared toward individuals who are working with kids and/or families in the throes of grief after the
loss of a loved one. Ann Petrila, Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work,
and I put this guide together. The second guide is more general and addresses some of the basic themes, layers and
threads in the novel.

Isn't this cool? I made the sign outside my old middle school!

Here I am at Newtonville Books in Newtonville, MA, where
I signed copies of TALL TALES to a packed house! I was
so nervous here that I can't remember what I thought
was so funny. (photo courtesy of Carol Peacock)

This is me with my friend Mitali Perkins who joined me at my
signing the other day at Newtonville Books. It was so good
to see so many friends that day. (photo courtesy of Carol Peacock)
