What's New
I joined the most amazing group of writers this year. We call ourselves the Class of 2k7. There are 39 of us, all middle grade and
young adult fictions writers who are publishing for the first time in 2007. We come from different publishing houses with different
writing styles and stories to tell. But we all have in common a deep love and appreciation for kids and books. You can check out our
website at www.classof2k7.com.
In November TALL TALES was named to the Texas Library Association's Bluebonnet 2008-2009 Master List. More than 300 books were considered
for this prestigious award. Next year students across Texas will read for the list, then vote on their favorite title. Check out this
link for more information.

Here I am at Newtonville Books in Newtonville, MA, where
I signed copies of TALL TALES to a packed house! I was
so nervous here that I can't remember what I thought
was so funny. (photo courtesy of Carol Peacock)

This is me with my friend Mitali Perkins who joined me at my
signing the other day at Newtonville Books. It was so good
to see so many friends that day. (photo courtesy of Carol Peacock)
